Strike Performance
The children enjoyed a wonderful show by Strike Percussion NZ this term.  Three performers showed their amazing drumming skills.  Everyone was amazed by the music they played.  Some children even got to have a try at some of the drums.  A highlight of the show was the piece of music they played with fire.

You've Got The Power!
Anti bullying show "You've Got The Power" came to school and Elgregoe amazed us with his magic tricks and illusions.  The show also affirms key school messages that students have the power to make a difference at our school, forming good relationships with others is important and everyone needs to be treated with respect.

Duffy Assembly
Duffy HERO Jennifer Martin visited school today to give out books.  Every child got two books - so 700 books went home on Monday.  That's a lot of home reading.  Jennifer is an actor and playwright.  She worked on the recent New Zealand movie 'Shipping'.

Silver Enviro Award Assembly
The whole school enjoyed a fantastic assembly to celebrate earning the Silver Enviro Award.  The Enviro Group have worked hard to implement lots of programmes throughout the whole school  to help our environment.  We were lucky to have Mayor Ray Wallace, Karen from Enviroschools and many other special visitors including people from the Council and people who have helped us in our journey.  Congratulations everybody!
