Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for your child to reach their full potential. If your child is absent due to illness or family bereavement, please phone the school between 8:30am and 9:00am. We follow up all unexplained absences each day to ensure student safety. We understand that maintaining regular attendance can sometimes be challenging. However, consistent attendance at primary school strongly supports learning, achievement, and positive habits for future schooling. Research shows that frequent absence can impact both academic progress and long-term outcomes. To support student success, the school monitors attendance closely. Our goal is for students to attend at least 90% of the time. Families will be contacted if attendance becomes a concern so we can work together to improve it. Please refer to our Attendance Management Plan at the bottom of this page for more information. Lateness Arriving at school on time helps children start the day calmly and prepared for learning. Late arrivals can interrupt teaching and learning for the whole class. Developing punctual habits early is important, and you can support this by ensuring your child arrives before the bell.
